Tinga Camp
African Parks' main camp inside Zakouma, a set of chalets under tamarind trees by the Salamat River, about 45 minutes' drive from the Goz Djarat entrance gate. Rooms are en-suite with mosquito nets and ceiling fans, with a communal dining and lounge area, and game drives and bush dinners are arranged from the camp. It is the practical base for most independent visitors to the park. Open roughly 1 December to 15 May; the park closes entirely in the wet season.
