Booking terms
Zuri sells nothing of its own. Everything you book here belongs to someone else — an operator, a hotel, or a hotel sold through our booking partner — and this page says who is responsible for what.
The three kinds of listing on Zuri
- Operators who list with us. Safaris, lodges, rafting, tours. You send a request, the operator confirms it, and your contract is with that operator. Zuri passes messages and, where enabled, takes a deposit on their behalf.
- Directory listings. Real places we list from public data so you can find them — unclaimed, no prices, not bookable here. Contact them directly.
- Partner hotel rooms. Rooms sold through our booking partner, with live prices. Zuri books these as your agent: we place the booking for you, and your stay is with the hotel.
What booking as your agent means
When you book a partner hotel room through Zuri, we act on your instructions to secure a room the hotel has made available. The accommodation contract is between you and the hotel. The hotel decides the price, the room, the board, the cancellation rules and what happens if something goes wrong on the night.
Zuri is responsible for placing your booking accurately and promptly, for showing you the real price and the real cancellation terms before you commit, for passing your cancellation on without delay, and for telling you honestly when something has failed. We are not responsible for the hotel's performance — the state of the room, overbooking, or a change the hotel makes to your reservation — though we will help you take it up with them.
Flight quotes
Zuri is not an airline and does not issue tickets. When you ask us for a flight price, we go to an airline or a consolidator and come back with a quote: a total, the routing, the baggage allowance, and what it costs to change or cancel. Asking costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
A quote is not a reservation. No seat is held while you think about it, and fares move — if the fare is gone when you accept, we tell you the new price rather than issuing something different. Once you accept, the ticket is issued by the airline or the consolidator holding the fare, the contract of carriage is between you and the airline, and that ticket's own change and refund rules apply — consolidator fares are often more restrictive than the airline's public ones, and we will tell you when that is the case before you decide.
Any fares shown on the flights page from our booking partner are for orientation only. They are live at the moment they load, they expire in minutes, and they are not what you are buying.
Prices
Partner prices move. The figure in search results is what the partner quoted at that moment; the figure on the confirmation screen is re-checked with the hotel and is the one you pay. If a rate disappears between the two, we tell you rather than substituting a different room or a different price.
Prices are shown in the currency the partner returns. Your bank may convert at its own rate and add its own fee, which Zuri neither sets nor receives.
Who you are dealing with
Zuri is operated from Uganda. You must be 18 or over to make a booking, and the name on the booking must match the identity document you will present at check-in — hotels turn people away over this.
Cancellations and refunds
Covered in full on the cancellation and refund page. The short version: the rate's own policy applies, we show it before you book, and we pass your cancellation to the hotel the moment you make it.
Test bookings
While Zuri's partner booking runs in test mode, any booking you make here is a simulation: no payment is taken, no room is held, and no hotel is expecting you. Pages say so clearly wherever it applies.
Before launch: this page is written to describe honestly how Zuri actually works, not to serve as legal advice, and it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act and consumer law both bear on it, and a qualified advisor should check it — along with a privacy policy and the operator terms — before real money changes hands.
