About
The Bale Mountains rise to over 4,000 metres, and the Sanetti Plateau on top is the largest stretch of Afro-alpine habitat in Africa — giant lobelia, frost at night, and the best chance anywhere of seeing the Ethiopian wolf, of which only a few hundred survive. Below the escarpment, the Harenna Forest drops into cloud forest with wild coffee growing under the canopy.
