Bioko Island
A volcanic island of rainforest, nesting turtles and rare monkeys.
About
Bioko lies off the Cameroon coast, its volcanic peaks covered in rainforest that holds seven primate species found in few other places, including the drill. The southern beaches at Moraka and Moaba are among the most important turtle nesting sites in the Gulf of Guinea, reached only on foot over several days from Ureca.
