Ennedi Massif
Sandstone arches, hidden gueltas and desert crocodiles in the deep Sahara.
About
The Ennedi is a sandstone plateau in north-eastern Chad eroded into arches, towers and labyrinths, with rock art thousands of years old and permanent water in shaded canyons. The Guelta d'Archei, where camels come down to drink beside a relict population of desert crocodiles, is one of the most striking places in the Sahara.
