La Digue is the Seychelles island people picture: bicycles instead of cars, and Anse Source d'Argent's granite boulders leaning over shallow water. Praslin next door holds the Vallée de Mai, a palm forest where the coco de mer — the largest seed in the plant kingdom — grows wild, along with the black parrot found only here.
