The Maletsunyane river falls 192 metres in one clean drop near Semonkong, freezing into a column of ice in deep winter. The abseil down the cliff alongside it is recorded as the longest commercial single-drop abseil in the world, and the horse trails around Semonkong — village to village, over the highlands — are the other reason to come.
